Level 1 – Fire Safety Awareness

Required for every employee in three main circumstances:

  • When they join the company
  • An annual fire safety awareness refresher course for all employees
  • If anything significantly changes in the way the work premises are organised, such as a building extension or large scale relocation.

Our half day Fire Safety Awareness training course covers the legal requirement to make sure every member of your team knows what to do in the case of fire.

Who's it for?

Every employee in your business apart from your Fire Marshals/Fire Wardens and Fire Manager, who should attend the training course specifically designed for them

What will I learn?

Our Fire Safety Awareness training course covers the following topics:
  •  Causes of fire in the workplace
  •  How to prevent fires in the workplace
  • The importance of using fire doors correctly
  •  How to raise the alarm
  •  What to do if you discover a fire
  •  What to do if you hear the fire alarm
  •  How to use a fire extinguisher and which one to use
  •  Practical fire extinguisher training (at the trainer’s discretion)
  •  How to help disabled employees in the event of a fire
  •  What to do in an evacuation drill

What's involved during the course?

On the training day you will have a tutorial first then on to the practical part, your trainer will demonstrate these and then you will have a hands on practical sessions.

What will I get out of the training?

The Fire Awareness Course provides you with a certificate at the end of your training, to gain this qualification you need to meet the required level for the practical assessments. The certificate you gain is valid for three years and meets government guidelines.

Course Duration?

The course lasts up to 4 hours and can be started at any time suitable to your needs, this includes weekends as well.

Our half day Fire Awareness course is £100.00 (£120.00 inc VAT) per candidate, discounts are available for group bookings on open courses. For Company bookings please contact us for more information. The Level 1 half day Fire Awareness course held at your own premises. Please note we do not recommend training in groups larger than 10 people. We cover the whole of the Home Counties.
